Autumn
Autumn is South Tyrol’s most beautiful season. The traditional Törggelen is a time for socialising and celebrating.
Movement and nature
A hike or bike tour to the Anratterhütte, considered one of the most beautiful alpine huts in South Tyrol, is recommended at any time of year. However, the only slightly ascending tour of around 6.5 km (outward route) on a good forest path is particularly beautiful in autumn, when the larch forests wear their festive clothes!
Culture and sightseeing
Shopping is not only a particular experience in the cities of Brunico, Bressanone and Vipiteno, but also in the picturesque market town of Rio di Pusteria. Reinhold Messner’s mountain museums, scattered all over the country, will acquaint you with South Tyrol’s history (but not only!), and a trip to the “Ötzi” at the archaeology museum in Bolzano is a must!
Soul and body
A tour of the village through Spinga offers a magnificent panoramic view of the entire Isarco Valley and the surrounding villages and alpine pastures. A stop at “Ban Erschbama”, a nearby farm tavern, is always worthwhile, especially in the golden autumn that colours the larches yellow, for a glass of wine and some tasty roasted chestnuts. The South Tyrolean custom of “Törggelen” delights locals and guests alike.
